Congratulations to Emalee + William on their engagement!

I had the pleasure of taking photos of these two this past weekend.  Emalee + William are from Texas, and they were visiting NJ for Emalee’s 5 year reunion at Princeton University.  They thought the Princeton campus would be a perfect place to take some photos, so they reached out to a wedding/event coordinator to find a NJ-based photographer.  Their coordinator found me (yay!), and put me in touch with them.  I’m SO glad I met this awesome couple, and taking their photos was so much fun!

First, when William told me they were getting dressed up for the photos, I was excited.  Then, he mentioned that he was wearing a tux, and I was even more excited!  I knew that they were going to look amazing – and I was 100% right!  Everywhere we went, people were commenting about how gorgeous they were.  Not only are they a stunning couple, but they were also so incredibly sweet.  Emalee kept giving me bandaids for my foot (poor shoe choice on my part!), and William insisted on carrying my camera bag around the campus.

Turns out, the Princeton campus is a pretty amazing place to take photos. From the beautiful architecture of the buildings, to the light shining through the trees, we had TONS of options.  The weather forecast initially said rain, but the weather held out for us!  The sun even starting peeking out from behind the clouds towards the end of the session.

Since it was the reunion and graduation weekend, we had to get creative on where we could take pictures without tents and people in the background, and these two were such good sports about it!  William was moving signs and tables out of the way so that we could get the perfect photos.  Emalee was wonderful about showing me different locations, since she’s a pro at navigating the campus.  I couldn’t have asked for a more awesome couple to wander and joke around with at 8am.

Here are some photos from their shoot!
