Where do I begin with this awesome couple!?  Let’s just say the first wedding of 2019 started the year off with a bang!

I met Chi + Jeffrey last year.  Chi’s sister came across my Instagram, and I’m so grateful and lucky that she did because I got the opportunity to meet this fun, sweet, & adorable couple!  We got to know each other during their engagement session in Hoboken, and I immediately knew their wedding was going to be a ton of fun.

Both of them are so laid back and kind.  You can tell they both have such huge hearts.  On their big day, watching Chi read Jeffrey’s note brought tears to our eyes!  Which brings me to another favorite part of their day – their First Look.

The look on Jeffrey’s face when he saw Chi for the first time on their wedding day was SO SWEET.  I love First Looks so much – it’s such a wonderful time for the bride and groom to spend quality time together and truly enjoy the moment of seeing each other for the first time.  It always seems that grooms are more open in expressing how excited they are during a First Look as opposed to when they see the bride for the first time during the ceremony – which makes sense, because it’s a bit harder to show a full range of emotions when you have over 150 people staring at you for a reaction!  But with a First Look the groom has full liberty to go nuts when they see their beautiful bride, and that’s exactly what happened when Jeffrey saw Chi!

Their ceremony was so sweet, and it was amazing that the rain stopped just at sunset for us to get the perfect sunset photos (seriously, it was like it was meant to be); but I have to be honest that my next favorite moment was during their reception.  Let me tell you – that rarely happens!!  Of course I love a great party – and wedding receptions are always a ton of fun!  But these two decided to take it to the next level and they had…

wait for it…

KARAOKE.

Yes, that’s right.  KARAOKE.  Watching Jeffrey sing a Backstreet Boys song to Chi will go down in history as a top reception moment in my books.

And how could it not?! It was absolutely amazing, and everyone LOVED it.  Complete with his guy friends singing backup chorus and everything.

I’m so lucky to have had the privilage to photograph their wedding, and I truly wish them all the best as they start their married lives together.  They deserve all the happiness in the world!
