I’m so excited for Dana + Frankie!  They are expecting their first baby, a little girl, this month!  To celebrate my business anniversary, I held a contest last year to win a free session.  I was thrilled when Dana + Frankie won, because these two are SO deserving!  They are ecstatic to be expecting their daughter, and they are going to make such great parents.  They were so grateful to have won the session, and Dana came prepared with the cutest baby props, books, and photos.  To top things off – they brought along their ADORABLE pup, Guinness, who completely stole my heart. On the day of their session it was close to 0 degrees.  We decided to still go for it, and I’m so glad we did.  They chose Seton Hall as their location, which was meaningful to them since they both went to college there.  We were lucky enough to find some indoor locations with awesome lighting, in addition to them braving the cold weather!

After their session, I received a heartfelt thank you card from them expressing their gratitude, along with a beautiful necklace with a camera pendant.  The note brought me to tears.  I love photography, but I think most people will agree that once you start a business from something that was just a hobby, sometimes you second guess yourself.  What once was so exciting and fun turns into work, and it can be hard to remember the reason for starting the business in the first place.  This thank you note and extremely thoughtful gift was a perfect reminder of why I love photography so much!  Capturing the most important and exciting times in people’s lives, and giving them the chance to cherish those memories through photos that they will look back on for years to come.  And have I mentioned that I have yet to take the necklace off?? 🙂
